ONLINE CYCLING COACHING

Thanyapura and JJ pro Cycling have teamed up to offer 1-1 personalized annual cycling coaching plans to all levels of cyclists that are tailored to match your cycling goals and busy schedule. We also offer 8-week pre-set cycling training plans, we combine our experience with the latest cycling training tools and methodology to help you achieve your goals. We prioritize frequent communication between the coach and athlete to ensure that your cycling training plans make you ride faster.

MEET THE COACHES

COACH FROM JJ PRO CYCLING

Head Coach – Physiologist JJ Pro Cycling John is an ex pro, who raced in France in the 1980’s, who has been cycling for 40 years and now lives in Thailand. John is the Director of JJ Pro Cycling, has been coaching for 15 years and is a former Sport Science lecturer at Thamassat University Bangkok and worked with Exeter University in the UK.

COACH FROM THANYAPURA

Daniel is currently Head Cycling Coach at Thanyapura. Since focusing on Cycling in the last 4 years Daniel has learnt and experimented with new Sport Science training methods with the help of John from JJ pro Cycling. He now knows how to make athletes a more ‘complete’ rider and be able to perform well in different types of races and terrain. Recently Daniel has won and podiumed in Stage Races, Time Trials and Sprints at the end of 150km races.

Analysis and feedback from Power and Heart Rate is crucial quantify effort, measure and monitor performance and maximize your training time. That is why EVERY workout is personalized for your own Power or Heart Rate zones. Without Power and Heart rate (to a slightly lesser extent) you only have soft metrics such as RPE and speed and time which are influenced by many factors such as wind and position. Power and Heart rate remove the guesswork, you have hard data to analyze and see trends in performance.

One of the key tasks of a coach is to be able to analyze data and give structured weekly feedback on every workout to identify strengths and weaknesses and offer advice on how to improve.

Each one of us has a different physiology, some of us are great climbers but can’t sprint, whilst others are super Time Trialists. By measuring your individual Critical Power at 1 second, 5 secs, 30secs, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and 3 hours, we can create a ‘Power Profile’ and set training accordingly to making you stronger or more efficient.
